We offer a range of techniques to determine metabolomic profiling and fluxes.We accept samples obtained from : (i) In vivo studies, including human samples of blood, expired air, urine and biopsied tissues; and (ii) In vitro studies, including tissue culture, organ perfusion, etc (we are unable to accept samples that contain radioactivity, infectious agents or biohazardous material). As illustrated in the schema below, these samples may be used for: (1) Analysis of isotopomers and isotopic enrichment (13C, 2H, 15N), to study metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, proteins, free fatty acids and lipids, etc, in normal and disease states; (2) Measuring various metabolite levels; (3) Determining flux and metabolic rates, etc; and (4) Testing new therapies for various diseases such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, inborn errors of metabolism, the metabolic syndrome, urea cycle defects, traumatic brain injury, etc, and to determine the drug(s) impact on metabolic pathways as well as potential benefits and risks.
